From Thursday 12 June at 4:00pm through to Sunday 15 June at 11:30am, this intimate gathering offers a rare chance to immerse yourself in restorative stillness, deepen your meditation practice, and connect with like-minded souls in a serene coastal setting.

Expect "industrial-strength" meditation designed to leave you feeling clear, recharged, and grounded—its benefits echoing long after the weekend ends. In just three days, you'll gain the equivalent of six months’ worth of twice-daily meditation, profoundly supporting your mental, emotional, and physical well-being.

The daily schedule is designed to support you to move into deep levels of rest and unwind stress through: daily rounding sessions, group meditations, enlightening knowledge talks, refreshing walks, and delicious meals shared in community.

Our holistic vegetarian catering, prepared especially by the Laurens, is carefully crafted to complement your meditation program, nourishing both body and mind to help you achieve maximum results.

The retreat venue also features a spa pool, adding an extra layer of relaxation to your experience.

The retreat will be held at Longshore, a peaceful, coastal haven tucked away in Waikanae on the Kāpiti Coast, an easy hour’s drive from Wellington.

Longshore invites you to slow down and soften into the stillness of the season. Inside, the spaces are warm and intimate—perfect for moving into deep rest, and enjoying meaningful connection.

What does a day on retreat look like?

 

An example day on retreat with the Laurens:

7am - 8am A light breakfast and herbal tea

8am - 11am Group Rounding: 2 - 3 Rounds (this involves yoga asanas (postures), pranayama (breathing exercises), meditation and a ten minute lie
down)

11am - 12pm Group Meditation and check-in with the Laurens

12pm - 2pm Lunch and free time to have a spa or a winter dip in the ocean, go for a walk, chat with other meditators in the sun or have a
mentoring session with the Laurens

2pm - 3pm Afternoon Knowledge Meeting with the Laurens

3pm - 6.30pm Group Rounding: 3 - 4 Rounds

6.30pm - 8pm Dinner and free time to have a spa, go for a walk, chat with other meditators by the fire or have a mentoring session with the Laurens

8pm - 9pm
Evening Knowledge Meeting with the Laurens

9pm Retire to your room for the night to sleep and rest

What else will this retreat offer?

Spacious connection, without pressure – This retreat is designed to support your inner journey. There is no group talk therapy but you are welcome to share as much or as little as you like, or required discussion. Just gentle twice-daily check-ins to support your meditation process, and the Laurens are always available for one-on-one support if anything arises.

A natural process of release and renewal – You may notice some fatigue surfacing as your nervous system begins to unwind, but by the end of the retreat, expect to feel lighter, clearer, and deeply re-energised.

Permission to truly rest – This weekend is about full restoration. There’s no need for vigorous exercise—just gentle movement through yoga postures in your Rounding practice, and slow, grounding walks by the sea.

Space to unplug and let go – Leave the books, the to-do lists, and the screens behind. While there will be quiet moments to check in with loved ones if needed, we encourage minimal contact with the outside world to help you fully land in the present.

A nourishing reset – The retreat offers a break from coffee, wine, and alcohol—allowing your body and mind to settle into a naturally balanced rhythm.

Time that’s just for you – Perhaps most importantly, this is your opportunity to fully focus on yourself. To refill your cup. To restore your energy, your clarity, and your sense of ease.

 

Retreat Investment and Accommodation Options

 

Retreat prices vary based on whether you book a room with your own bathroom or shared bathroom.

A $500 non-refundable booking fee is required per person to confirm your spot on the retreat. This booking fee is non-refundable and non-transferrable to any other course or offering.

🌿 Queen Ensuite Room – $2,130 FULLY BOOKED
A beautifully appointed queen room with a private ensuite.
Only one available – ideal for those wanting a little extra space and privacy.

🌊 Queen or King Room (Sole Occupancy, Shared Bathroom) – $1830
All other rooms are either single occupancy with queen or king-sized beds and access to shared bathroom facilities.
Spacious, serene, and perfect for rest and retreat.

 
 
 

What’s Included:

  • 3 nights accommodation (commencing 4:00pm Thursday 12 June, and concluding at 11.30am on Sunday 15 June 2025)

  • Wholesome vegetarian meals and herbal teas throughout the weekend

  • Rounding instruction and guidance throughout the retreat

  • Twice daily check-ins and knowledge meetings with the Laurens

  • A daily gentle walk in nature

  • A 20 minute mentoring session with one of the Laurens during the retreat


Not included: flights and transfers to and from the retreat are not included in the retreat price. The journey from Wellington airport takes about an hour depending on traffic so please factor this in before booking your flight in order to arrive on time (4.00pm on Thursday 12 June) and be able to stay till the end of the retreat which closes at 11.30am on Sunday 15 June.
