Guru Purnima

Sunday 21 July 2024
5.30pm - 7.00pm

Open to all Vedic Meditators,

The full moon in July is a very special night in the Vedic calendar. We call it Guru Purnima. Guru means 'remover of darkness', Purnima means 'fullness'. This auspicious full moon evening is where we pause to celebrate and honour the lineage of teachers who have passed on the Vedic Meditation and Knowledge we all enjoy today.

This year we are thrilled to be having a joint celebration with four other Initiators, Isabel, Sheryn, Elise and John, across three locations. If you are in Auckland, Wellington or Wanaka you are invited to join us in person and we also have the option to join us online via zoom.

On the evening we will enjoy the gratitude ceremony you witnessed when you first learnt to meditate, a short kid-friendly meditation, writing a boon or wish, Vedic story time, as well as chai and sweets. This event will is child-friendly and any child 12 or younger can attend whether they have learnt to meditate or not

You'll need to book a spot to join us (links below). There is limited space in-person in Auckland and Wanaka, plenty of space in Wellington and unlimited space online.

We hope you can join us for this free event.

Love and Jai Guru Deva,
The Laurens
