South Island Rounding Retreat - 1 room left!

Friday 5 September - Sunday 8 September 2024

Our retreat has just had a room become available due to a drop-out, book in quickly to nab the last spot!

Why attend a retreat?

This long weekend retreat represents an opportunity to allow the release of deep-rooted stresses and fatigue, accelerating your progress towards higher states of consciousness, and delivering experiences of greater energy, clarity and bliss.

During the retreat you will receive instruction in rounding; a sequence of simple yoga positions and breathing techniques designed specifically to maximise the benefits of extra meditation.

All the rooms are uniquely and tastefully decorated

All Vedic Meditators are invited to join us in the sunny Nelson region for this expansive three day meditation retreat. Commencing 4:00pm on Thursday 5 September, and concluding at 12:00pm on Sunday 8 September.

This retreat provides a wonderful opportunity to enjoy industrial-strength meditation, which will leave you feeling refreshed and revitalised for months to come.

By attending the retreat, participants will experience the equivalent benefit of six months-worth of twice daily meditation.

Read on for further details, and note that spaces on our retreats book up fast, so make sure you confirm your place as soon as possible to avoid missing out.

Quiet calm mornings on retreat

This retreat will be an opportunity to gain deeper levels of rest and enhanced experiences in meditation.

If your meditation practice has been inconsistent, this is a perfect opportunity to reignite your practice.

If you are a new meditator, attending the retreat is a wonderful way to cement and accelerate your practice.

For long-term meditators, you will come away with more knowledge, increased depth of understanding, and the feeling of expansion.

Thank you for an awesome weekend. I loved every minute of it. It was a wonderful bunch of people, not to mention the food and surroundings.
— Maree, past retreat participant

What else can I expect on the retreat?

✨ To learn Rounding or be refreshed in your Rounding practice
✨ To meet lovely meditators in a supportive, welcoming environment and make new friends (if you want to!)
✨ To enjoying eating as much delicious, wholesome and nourishing vegetarian food as you like at each meal
✨ To feel grounded and supported throughout the whole retreat by your meditation teachers / retreat leaders
✨ You won’t be meditating on your own but will be meditating in a group with the support of an experienced meditator who will lead you through the whole rounding process. You won’t even have to think about or remember a thing

✨ Apart from a twice-daily check in to see how your meditation programme and experiences are going, there is no talk therapy or group sharing, though you are welcome to share anything with the Laurens that you need to
✨ You might have experiences of fatigue coming out but will start to feel very energised by the end of the retreat
✨ The weekend is all about rest so it’s the perfect opportunity to let go of exercise other than gentle yoga postures through Rounding and slow gentle walks
✨ You can leave the books, iPad and work at home. There will be opportunities for you to touch base with family each day but other than that, we want to keep contact and obligations in the outside world to a minimum to reap the full benefits of the retreat
✨ To have a break from consuming coffee and wine/alcohol for the weekend
✨ To be able to focus solely on you and top yourself up
